Co-financing of promotional activities of the „Croatian Island Product“ Program
Events, fairs, workshops, and conferences on Croatian islands play a significant and complex role in the development of tourism and the strengthening of the local community. They are not only a means of entertainment and education, but also a tool for preserving identity, encouraging the economy, and promoting local heritage.
Co-financing such activities plays a major role in the sustainability and success of the event itself, especially on Croatian islands, where resources are often limited.
For this reason, within the „Croatian Island Product“ Program, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds publishes a Public Call once a year for non-refundable financial co-financing for promotional activities of the „Croatian Island Product“ Program, thereby further supporting label holders, organizers, and the local community.

What is co-financed?

Who is eligible for co-financing?
Units of local and regional self-government, public institutions, associations, federations of associations, cooperative federations, and tourist boards that promote the „Croatian Island Product“ label as part of their activities and do not engage in economic activity are eligible to apply for grant funding.

Co-financing of promotional activities in figures
The amount of co-financing for promotional activities is up to a maximum of 85% of the total reported event expenses per application and cannot exceed 5,000.00 euros.
From 2013, when the co-financing project was launched, to date, over 181 thousand euros have been spent on funding promotional activities of the Croatian Island Product Program.
How to apply?
The Ministry publishes the public call once a year on its official website and on the „Croatian Island Product“ website, where all required forms and instructions are available. Applications are submitted by post and electronically.
Why apply?
Co-financing covers a significant part of the costs related to event organization, promotional material production, participation in fairs and exhibitions, digital advertising, and various other expenses, significantly reducing self-investment.
Supporting such events that include local customs, costumes, dances, innovations, and products with our label contributes to preserving cultural heritage and tradition, which also has a strong impact on island tourism and, consequently, the island economy.
