Pag City Library received the Croatian Island Product label for the book 'Pag Lacemaker Katica Babeli', dedicated to one of the distinguished bearers of the Pag lace tradition, an intangible cultural heritage inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List. The book tells the story of the life and work of Katica Babeli, an accomplished lacemaker whose skill, dedication and love of tradition made a valuable contribution to preserving one of the most recognisable symbols of the island of Pag. Through this publication, Pag City Library systematically nurtures and promotes island cultural heritage, connecting the written word with the rich tradition of hand craftsmanship and women's creative work. The book has strong documentary and educational value and testifies to the importance of passing knowledge and skills from generation to generation.
