The Bilić family farm is located in Bol on the island of Brač and is the result of many years of family heritage, dedicated work and deep respect for island tradition. The farm grows grapevines and olives, nurturing indigenous varieties and traditional production methods. A particular source of pride is Brač varenik, for which the family became the first producer in 2021 to hold a European designation of origin and geographical indication. Brač varenik is a traditional product made by reducing grape juice. It is a sweet, viscous liquid with a honey-like aroma and gentle notes of grape and caramel, containing no alcohol or preservatives. Used as a natural sweetener and valuable gastronomic ingredient, it is added to meat and fish dishes, salads and desserts and, according to folk tradition, is also believed to support the immune system. Once indispensable in our grandmothers' kitchens, it is now regaining an important place in contemporary gastronomy.
