Dragana Pirjak makes replicas of the traditional wooden gajeta boat. To make the souvenir as faithful as possible to the original, she uses materials characteristic of the local area, including olive, cherry, almond, holm oak, juniper and myrtle wood, as the souvenir is entirely handmade from wood. The hull is first shaped from a single piece, after which the accompanying elements are added, including supports, bollards, rudder, hatch and karoc. Finally, it is painted in the same way as traditional wooden boats once were.
