Pictures Made from Driftwood

Label holder: Obrt ,,Turtula'' vl. Lucija Rilov
Island: Čiovo
Product group: Art and Design

For Lucija Rilov, the coast is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. There, among washed-up seagrass and rocks, she finds and collects driftwood cast ashore by the sea. With remarkable skill she shapes and paints these pieces into three-dimensional marine motifs, creating pictures that are almost sculptures. In doing so, she gives the wood new life and breathes back into it the sea from which it came.
